Molly Murray - Birth, Life, and Business Doula
Friends, it's no secret that I LOVE birth. I love listening to people talk about their births, I love preparing people for their births, and I especially love attending births as a birth doula.
But I have to make something clear.
I love birth, for all that it is and for all that it isn't. I love birth for the deep desire that I see in birthing people to keep their baby safe. I love birth for the vulnerable place that it takes all of us. I love birth for the magic, the transcendence, the mystery!
I don't love only supporting women without an epidural, just like I don't love only love supporting those with an epidural. I love all births where a birthing person is surrounded with support, encouragement, and given full informed consent. That's what I love and stand for.
My philosophy is that there is NO wrong way to birth your baby AND I believe that birthing people do whatever they have to do to birth their baby!
That's right! No matter what kind of birth a mom initially wants or thinks she'll have, all birthing people that I've met and worked with, in the end, do what they have to do to birth their baby.
Deep down, on both sides of the spectrum, those who birth in the middle of stream, surrounded by wildflowers want the best for their baby... and the same goes for women who choose to or by necessity, birth their baby on the operating room, surrounded by medical personnel.
YOU DO WHAT YOU HAVE TO DO TO BIRTH YOUR BABY!
My philosophy and teaching, through childbirth classes and doula work, encourages families to do what works in your unique birth.
In my childbirth classes, and those who hire me to be their doula, will learn coping techniques that will get you through the intensity of birth, no matter how it unfolds for you. 💞🌱
