Molly Murray - Birth, Life, and Business Doula
As families navigate their journey towards finding the right doula for them, there are many questions that come up and need to be discussed with each person or group they are considering. Whether the questions are found online or not, I hear a lot of the same questions. Here, I've taken some of the most frequently asked questions and answered them all for you.
I'm always open to a FREE phone consultation or an in-person consultation. Reach out to me here to set up our time together!
For my first blog post, I thought it best to write an introduction, a continued About Me section.
I have so many blog posts in my head, but it just doesn't feel right to dive right into informational posts without a formal introduction!
That said, if you're here reading, you already know so much!
I'm a Mother, a passionate and experienced birth doula, a postpartum doula, a Birthing From Within Mentor and a Placenta Encapsulation Specialist.
So, what else is there? Those 5 things are so much of my life...and I wouldn't have it any other way!
I really enjoy connecting people. I enjoy connecting with people.
I organize Weekly Playgroups for Westside Cincy Moms, I host Monthly Women's Circles in my home, I attend a Monthly Singing Circle and try to make it to the Monthly Herb Walks at a local farm.
Music is a huge part of my life! I sing on a regular basis, I dance around my house while listening to Nahko and Medicine for The People ... and my partner, Nate, is a music producer!
He's incredibly talented, with a focus on rap/hip-hop, using mostly old school gear and sounds.
It's really like nothing else to watch him work! Watching him in the studio is where I fell in love with him!
We share an AMAZING space above my home, where he is able to compose and record music and I teach childbirth classes/host events.
Nate's family owns a little vitamin shoppe here in town, Natural Life in Hyde Park, which I must say, works so well for my doula career! We have so much flexibility as far as time goes. I am able to leave at the drop of a hat (or a breaking of the water ;)) and I have access to all of the vitamins, herbs, teas, etc. that we carry there and having him and his family to learn and ask questions from, has really added to my knowledge base!
Speaking of knowledge, I really enjoy learning, or what I like to call...Growing! I am of the philosophy that Life is Learning and Learning is Life. We visit the library multiple times through the week and I attend training and workshops of interest as often as I can.
I grow as I go, learning along the way from my experiences in life.
We home school our children for now and hope to instill in them that same foundation of Learning through Living, allowing them to find their own interests and supporting them as they blossom into responsible, joyful, inquisitive young adults!
That said, I hope to learn and grow into this blog over time, sharing with my readers evidence based information as well as fun tid-bits about our city or things to do, eat and see around town...
I want to share with you what's in my doula bag, all about a rebozo, what I've learned about birth plans and more!
And now, with a formal introduction out of the way, I feel I can move forward in doing so!
Happy Reading and looking forward to connecting with you soon!
